Share a Mentimeter Presentation with a Colleague

You’ve put your time and effort into creating an incredible Mentimeter presentation, and you want to share it with someone else so that they can use it too! Let your hard work stretch even farther by sharing your presentations with your colleagues so that they can engage their students with interactive activities.

To share a Mentimeter presentation with a colleague:

  1. Log into your Mentimeter account.
  2. Select My Presentations from the left-side menu.
  3. Find the presentation in question, hover over it, and select the 3-dot icon to the right of the presentation name.
  4. Select Share from the pop-up menu.
    • Please note: If your presentation does not have a distinct name, Mentimeter may provide a pop-up box asking you to rename your presentation before continuing.
  5. Ensure that Collaborators is selected at the top of the pop-up.
  6. Enter your colleague’s email address in the Email field and select what kind of permissions you want them to have in the drop-down menu beside it. You may also choose to write a personalized message below.
    • See note below about permissions.
  7. Select Send to share your copy of the Mentimeter presentation with your colleague.
    • Please note: At this time, we are only able to share collaborator status with those within our Mohawk College Mentimeter Workspace.
      • If your colleague has an @mohawkcollege.ca email address, but the Mentimeter still gives an error that the person must be within our workspace, they likely need to activate their account. They can do this on our Mohawk College Mentimeter Login/Join page.

Understanding the Permissions options are important when sharing a Mentimeter presentation with other collaborators.

  • Edit allows your collaborator(s) to edit your copy of the presentation. It additionally allows them to both see and clear any active results on your presentation. This type of permission is ideal if you are co-teaching the lesson with someone else.
  • Comment allows your collaborator(s) to make comments on your slides that you can review later, but they cannot edit your presentation. This type of permission is ideal if you would like a colleague’s feedback on what you have created.
  • View allows your collaborator(s) to see what you have created, without being able to edit or comment.
