You’ve created an engaging and interactive presentation on Mentimeter, now it’s time to launch it and share it with your learners so that they can participate! Get presentation ready by following the steps below.
- Log into your Mentimeter account.
- Select the Mentimeter presentation that you would like to launch.
- On the presentation page, select Present in the top right corner.
- This will automatically launch the lesson from the slide that you are on.
- The Instructions Bar should be activated by default. This bar should appear at the top of your screen with instructions for how learners can join the lesson.
- Encourage learners to go to menti.com and use the 8-digit code at the top of your lesson.
- Alternatively, you can click on the instructions bar at the top of your screen to copy a link to the presentation. Share this link with your students by pasting it in the Teams chat for an online class, in an announcement in your course shell, etc.
- By default, this link is only valid for 48 hours, so do not share it too early!
- There is an option to enable a QR code, which is disabled by default. While in presentation mode, you can enable the QR code by hovering your mouse in the bottom left corner. A settings toolbar will appear – select the QR code icon.
- Alternatively, press the letter i button on your keyboard to activate the QR code shortcut.
Pro Tip: Mentimeter has a slide type called Instructions, which can be found under Content Slides. This type of slide shows both the website and code for joining manually, and the QR code. It is an easy way to share the joining instructions with students. Try putting an Instructions slide at the beginning of your presentation!
